Introduction

It's been a very rough week in Prefect-land, but hopefully things are starting to turn around. It has, however, been a good week for the HF as PVT Rejili Holthaus joined us in Alpha Squad. Here's hoping for more members, more screenshots, and a happy Thanksgiving for our American members in the coming weeks.

Battlefront is officially live and I'm happy to report a number of screenshots have already been submitted. Sparky released a CO report on Sunday detailing the number of WSMs you can get per game mode, and that information is available on the forum as well.

Dark Brotherhood Battleteam

The Hammer's Fist Battleteam is no more. The DB still supports FPS, though, including Battlefront, so if you're interested in double-dipping with them, contact the DB leadership and ask to join Battleteam Sentinel. I'd like to thank the Brotherhood one more time for providing us with a temporary home while we got our act together and for processing all those BF2 shots. I wish the best of luck to the DB leadership and Battleteam Sentinel.

Communications

We're still experimenting to see what communications platforms work best and which ones fizzle. Here are the three that have high activity and are definitely sticking around:

• Mailing List (eh-hammers-fist@googlegroups.com): If you're not on the mailing list, get on the mailing list. It's where we post official news, reports, and updates. Additionally, feel free to chat about things on list. If the volume of messages is too high for your tastes, consider setting your subscription to digest or abridged email, or just check it in forum view. The SOC can also alter your email settings for you upon request.
• Telegram (Hammer's Fist Discussion and other channels): Telegram is far and away the busiest communication platform we've got. I strongly encourage you to give it a try if you haven't already. The software is available from telegram.me (for desktop) or your app store (for mobile), and you can get an invite link from your SL or any SOC member.
• TeamSpeak: CPL Zephon generously allows HF members to use his personal TS server. If you interested in joining us on voice chat, please contact your SL for the server address and password.

Additionally, we've got a ton of lesser-used options. Check them out and let us know what you like and what you don't.

• Main EH Forum
• HF Site Forum - log in through our site first
• EH Facebook Group - used mostly for memes and Star Wars discussion
• HF Facebook Page - intended mostly as an HF recruit tool, but sadly we've been neglecting it.
• IRC - we don't maintain much of a presence on IRC. For now, any HF members on IRC should head to the main #emperorshammer channel on Undernet.

CSMA/IU

The new HF core course is undergoing some final edits before it heads to the Training Office for FA Montte to review. It's intended to be a quick, easy, and unintimidating way for recruits to learn the most important procedures and get an easy promotion to PFC. The next course we'll be working on is going to be a second core course intended to cover more advanced topics.

If you interested in taking this or other courses, you need to sign in through the main emperorshammer.org domain and take the test through the training section. When you receive the email that your course has been graded, please forward it to your SL and myself and/or Drachen so we can make sure you get credit for it. While we are not giving AP for courses such as TIE Fighter mission design, if it's in any way relevant to the HF we'll happily give you credit for your coursework - even if it isn't an old CSMA course. When in doubt, report it anyway and let us figure it out.
